My Role Model

Tuesday, October 17th, 2006

I still remember the first time I saw Her,
She was demonstrating how to block.

I was going into my freshmen year,
She was already going to be a senior.

I made the freshmen volleyball team,
She made the varsity.

I remember staying after school,
Just to watch the varsity practice,

And Thinking to myself how awesome She was,
And how I would do anything to be just like Her.

Or, at least get to know Her.
I continued to see Her throughout the season,

She really never noticed me.
I thought She was the coolest person ever,

Still do.
She’s the one who gives me my encouragement,

Where ever I go and whatever I do.
The only thing I know about Her,

Is Her name, but that’s ok,
Because She made me realize so much more,

She means so much more…..
She’s my role model,

And She always will be.

the last pedal

Perfect as a rose pedal
Watch as it endures
The blooms fight for their life
As they are surrounded by knives
For what they know best
Is the blossom of their hearts
They live in the moment they open
Hopes to achieve, reside in their minds

Pedals come and pedals go
Stop to watch as they appear
Appreciate the colors and smells
Learn from them while they are here
For they will disappear
No more chances do they get
They cannot be forgiven
For they must open and if they don’t
It is the end

Some will arise to the occasion
They are beautiful in every way
Every chance they get
To send sweet aroma in the air
To fill the days with colors so fair
But the life is short
Because they opened, they must fall
The fall to death
Conscious of the life they lived
Are they successful or
Do they suffer in agony
as the last pedal falls

True

Tuesday, October 17th, 2006

Just meeting a couple of times with those dark brown eyes.
I never knew that you would be the one on my mind.

For the short times of different visits,
I never thought that I’d miss it.

Through all of the hugs and kisses,
we finally parted with the best intentions of God’s wishes.

Gifted is he, the king of his own destiny.
Leading the blind to the land of the free.

You are the one in the million man march that reached out and touched my heart.
You put your world aside to listen to all of my cries.

You eased the pain like a baby’s lullaby.
I tip my hat to you.

for all that you do.
For being a man of his word by using the word TRUE.

I thank you.

How’s School Work?

Monday, October 16th, 2006

Spectacular!
Today is Monday,
You’re off to that dreaded place,
5 days a week you spend here,
You’ll never escape!

You have your books,
You have your brain,
When the day is through,
It’ll be in a lot of pain,
And you have your friends,
Some good and some great,
But talk to them too much and you’ll be late.

Keep your grades up though and watch with care,
Someday you’ll look at colleges and say I want to go there,
So with your head full of knowledge and shoes full of feet,
If you let it, school can help you accomplish any feat!

Piggy Food

Monday, October 16th, 2006

In a little big forest far away,
There lived three little piglets, Pig,Piggy, and Pigglay.
Two little pigs were foolish things,
But the oldest was as wise as kings.

Now each little piggy needed an abode,
So from house to house, they begged for a load.
Pig, who was lazy made himself a home of hay,
Then he looked for some butterflies and just walked away.

Piggy, who was also a lazy flick,
Got himself a big long stick,
He cracked it into thirty twigs,
And now he is in there eating earwigs.

Wise old Pigglay, he made his home of brick.
He worked so hard, that his walls were double thick.
He made himself a roof, with shingles of hard slate.
Then he made himself some food and sat down and ate.

One fateful day, a mean wolf came to eat.
He searched longingly for nice pig meat.
Lazy Pig saw him coming, and went home running.
The wolf saw him run, and came after him slobbering.

Wolf knocked on the door and yelled, ‘Let me in! Let me in!’
Lazy Pig replied, ‘No way! Not by the hair on my fat little chin.’
Wolf snarled and said, ‘I’ll blow your house down.’
And so he did, right to the ground.

Then after a good meal, wolf chops got licks,
And he went for fat free feed from the house of sticks.
He knocked on the door and asked for in,
Which was answered, ‘Snort in your face I’d rather sit on a pin!’

Piggy is gone like his brother too.
Fools like them are now quite few.
Wolf was still eager for a pig,
So he went to Pigglay’s house hoping to get big.

‘Let me in’ was not enough,
So Wolfy decided to get big and tough.
He blew for an hour and got a red facial expression.
He fell on the ground and had involuntary motion.

Pigglay, who by a heart of kindness was led,
Ran out to save the mean old airhead.
Wolf was filled up to the brim,
Pigglay’s end was kind of grim.

Now the moral of this story be:
Don’t be a pig who is lazy.
Good pigs always have a stop.
Their wisdom is piggish and sometimes will pop.

Work like a wolf and all will go well,
But don’t blow too hard or you might go to hell.
Eat like a glutton and you shall die,
And never give in to a piggish lie

My Homework

Monday, October 16th, 2006

Sometimes my homework is small
Sometimes my homework is long
But whenever i do my homework
My homework is always wrong

Sometimes I do my homework at a slow pace
Sometimes I do my homework in the fast lane
But however I do my homework
my homework is still a pain

Sometimes my homework is easy
Sometimes my homework is hard
But whenever i can’t do my homework
I feel like a retard

For You

Monday, October 16th, 2006

In the room across the hall
Sitting on his bland oak chair
Sat Ned, the most popular of all
Among the other students there
Writing quietly with an intent stare.

He wrote to the one whom he cherished
With confidence in his pen
But suddenly that confidence perished
He had heard a noise just then
Like a lion pacing in his den.

He placed his feet flat on the floor
And gripped the wrinkled paper fast
And heard the squeak of the door
As the Teacher sternly asked
That up front the paper be passed.

The situation went from good to scary
His face turned a striking red
Like a freshly picked strawberry
The students whispered, ‘Go on, Ned’
The teacher insisted that the note be read.

As Teacher scanned the crinkled sheet
Her face was strained and aglow
And read from Ned’s horrible feat
‘Dear Clarice, I must know,
Will you date me, yes or no?’

In the room across the hall
Sitting on his bland oak chair
Sat Ned, the most popular of all
Among the laughing students there
Making excuses with an embarrassed stare.

Lost friends…

Friday, October 13th, 2006

Like any other kind of love, friendship can be lost within our lives due to neglect or anger or, sometimes, simply circumstances. However it is lost, we often lose a part of ourselves that can never quite be recovered.
